I love Dustin Pike Graphics..! thanks to reading my friend's Gabby's site I ran across his web site again and boy and I happy. His graphics are so perfect for making cards for my chemo buddy.. Dustin sells digi images on Esty. He also has a membership where you can get his past graphics.. I have spent most of the day going through all the graphics I just purchase.. I threw this card together real fast cuz I just wanted to get one done.. So since it's for my out of this world Chemo buddy.. it will be off to it's new home tomorrow..

Sorry I have been MIA.. Just haven't gotten a new groove down yet.. Seems like I run out of time or don't have the energy to get to my blog.. The whole family has been sick. Ben got strep.. So we are now getting back to feeling better.. so I am going to try and get a post in once a week atleast.. Needless to say I haven't been stamping or anything..

I did get a new Chemo Buddy so since he is a boy LOL I need to make boy themed cards now. Since most of mine are girl themed..

So I hope to post some of those later..

Craig got the backsplash done this weekend.. Now just the backsplash for the rest of the kitchen.. He will probably do that while I am in NC for the week.. Won't have any little kids running around or anything.. Well until next week when I get back from my trip.. Not sure if I am going to stamp or not.. I am not bringing anything with me.. But we might play a bit..

Well just a few more things to do get the glass for the doors.. A couple of doors were sent wrong and one drawer to order but gee for the most part the kitchen is DONE! and I am one happy COOKER. LOL

The counter tops are made from recycled beer bottles.. It's the new green line that Granite transformations is carrying.. They also did my cabinets.. There are locations all over the US.. Check them out if you are in need of redoing your kitchen..

Yes my Hubby works for them.. But hey they are a great company..

Well the New Year is here.. Now my goal for this new year is to scrapbook more.. I have the space so no more excueses!!

Here are a few pics from our trip to Disneyland.. We all had a wonderful time.. Just one little problem while we were there.. On the way I hit a pole at a gas stataion in Buttonwillow, CA Yeah great fun.. I broke the back tire off so that was really a great way to start a trip.. So my car is still in Bakersfield about 6 hrs away.. I think I will just have it fixed down there.. It needs body work..

Sorry it has been awhile.. I haven't done much crafting.. Kids are out of school out and I have been really busy with that.. Hubby doesn't feel good so this weekend we did nothing..

I did go and see the twilight movie which I enjoyed with a good friend.. I hope they make the rest of the movies soon.. The place they shot the movie was just wonderful I love seeing all the scenery.

I got invited out to lunch today by another good friend but can't.. Hubby has a doctor's appt. and I have 8 kids here today.. Tommorrow I only have 4 kids so that will be a nice change.. Then off for the rest of the week..

No Stamp Card Swap

I signed up for a no stamp card swap.. So I figure it would be fun to play with my Silhouette machine.. So I made this let it snow card.. then embossed the letters with my cuttlebug..I added glitter glue to the some of the raised snowflakes I added the little snowflake.brad to add some charm.. And found a blue snowflake paper to the inside..

I also wanted to send a long a die cut I made. To be used for another card or whatever..

Snow Charlie is a new set I got from Clear Dollar Stamps.. I aslo used majestic moutnian from them as well for the background..

Ok got a bit crazy with the glitter.. I know.. Supose to say Be Merry on the bottom of Charlie.. The great thing about handmade cards is there is no mess up.. I just going to stamp a new Be Merry and put it over the top of the other one..

I only had time to do this simple card yesterday.. Today I hope to get a few more done with the new stamps I got from Walmart.. I love the cute polar bear in that set.

Wow hard to believe that it's already Nov 3rd.. I got 15 cards done on Sunday.. I think 10 more should do it.. Then to start working on my newsletter.. That is the hard part.. It always souns so boring..

I used a graphic from PcCrafter for this card. I couldn't decide what to do with the bottom but I think the snowflakes from the Snowflake spot set from SU looks really cute..

Here is out with something sweet. I am going to make nugget boxes.. I got this set from Clear dollar stamps.. I just order their baby Jesus nugget set.. So cute they inclued a template to make a manager to put the nugget in.. I can't wait for that to come in.. You can find the set I used here

Hubby totally surprised me with a new custom laptop. He ordered cuz he said it matched the walls.. Too cute.. Well I got most of my stuff moved in. I love being able to find things and not dig through boxes.. So I am jazzed!!

So I have a bit more work to do on it.. Hard trying to get everything so oragnize. The other side of the room is going to be a closet with a nice cabinet for sweaterers and shoes and stuff like that..

I think Hubby did an awesome job on it.. I waited so long for it and wow it was so worth it.. That is why is said he got me the laptop.. Cuz I had to wait over 2 yrs for my own spot..

I love High Hope Stamps. High hopes just released a bunch of new stamps so go and check it out.. Also They have a new blog and their first Blog challenge is a Birthday card using Brads.. I had to search high and low for some since my craft is not ready yet and everything is packed up. But this is the card I came up with.. The prize if you are lucky enough to have your number come up is all 12 of their new dragon line.. Too cute..

Of course the front I used High hope stamps.. Arrgg.. Inside I got my Silhouette to work on a pop up pirate ship.. Wow that was cool. But to make it pop I dug out my brayer yes more hunting treasure.. And used SU pacific Point Blue on the back.

Sorry it's been so long in posting.. My craft room is almost done.. We redid the kitchen so the counter I was using to stamp out is gone!!! So no stamping for me.. I did get in some new mags stamps I got my fall kit in.. Was happy with it except for Edwin's arm has a missing piece so he doesn't stamp right. I have emailed the Maganolia company 4 times and have heard nothing back...

I have been getting GSD files and learning how to use my Silhouette.. Oh my that machine is AWESOME!! I can't wait to get in there and really play with that.. The files I am getting are so cool.

I will get some pics and things on here soon.. I promise..

Hi well my friend and I got out the Halloween Stamps. Boy isn't it fun playing with other ppl's toys!! Heck yes it is. LOL Well on my scor pal group there is all this talk about Z cards. So I said Geez I can make that..

Here is what I came up with.

I used Debbie Mum's Holiday Paper. What fun and it's has it's own Glitter. Can't go wrong with the glitter. Stamps are by Inky Antics.

So Today I got to finish a mini album. I really like making these. I have ordered some xmas paper so I can start my cards. I thought it was a fun way to share photos of the family. But putting them on the tags.

I colored in the images used su waterpencils then I highlighted with twinkling H2o for a bit of a sheen look.

I was in the Halloween spirit tonight. I even used my twinkling H2O's on this card. I used the 4x4 mini album. Instead of big tags I made the tags so they fit inside so I can mail off the cards. I got the $1 a pkg paper at Joann's just play with. Going to make more of these for xmas..

I used Friskars texture plate with the baby hands and feet for the DS paper in the back. Then I ran the front paper through the cuttlebug dots embossing folder.

Ally is my 20 yr plus Moluccan Cockatoo. I was lucky enough to have a friend that has a friend that owns a feed store. Ally was the mascot there for many years and that gal thought she would be happier living with a family. She gave me Ally which I will be forever grateful for. She is such a loving bird. She cuddles in your lap and begs to be petted just like a dog. She will take her had and nudge your hand.

Great Mail Day

I love getting Swap cards in the mail.. It's one of my favorite things.. Here are a few I got the past few days.

The first card is from Carrie for a Matchbook swap I was in with her. Love those buggies.

The second card is from Nic and I just love the stamps from High Hopes they are one of my many favorites. I saw this card on her blog and hoped I would get it. And here it is. Too cool.

The third card came all the way from AU from Toni for a Thank you card swap. Love the details on the front.

Today I started to crochet an afghan yes finally got my hooks out. Didn't get very far about 6 rows. My neck has been hurting the past few days and it's hard to really do much of anything. No soaking in the Hot Tub until my tat heals probably Friday.

Right now I can't upload pics but I will keep trying I really want to show off the cards I got from my friends in my msn group.

Hi everyone. Today I got to work on a swap. I was inspired to work on my Pink and Brown swap for my msn group. I used the Double Flap card pattern from Dawn's site. I used an retired The Angel Company set for the front and sayings. I think I did a pretty good time since I had 8 kids here while I was making it. LOL.

I didn't get to any stamping this weekend. Was supose to go through my stuff. Since my craft room being worked on. I have some things in boxes and I need to go through them and find out what I want to keep. Saw Hell Boy II last night and didn't get home until 12:30 so I am so lazy today I don't want to do anything.

I have been waiting for this new line of stamps to open up and on Wednesday July 30th they will be and you have to check it out. From what I see they are going to have some cute stuff.

What I got Last Night

I went under the needle last night and got my birds put on my arm. My arm is a bit sore today cuz he really got me good. This was taken this morning. Last night it was looking too red puffy to really take a pic of it.

I got some new stamps from the Angel company yesterday. I am really happy with my Flowerbet. It's so cool. I hope to get them all on the cling mount today and maybe even get them in some ink.

the cards are not that fancy just was trying out new things and thought I would add Tilda to the front of them.
I colored them with my watercolor pencils and a blending pen. I dab the blender pen on the pencil and then applied the color. I just can't afford copics right now.

The mailman stopped by with lots of goodies. I have to wait to play with all my new goodies later today. Glad we were late going to the park I would of missed out on the goodies today. I will have to post pics since for some reason I can't right now.

Well it's Friday I would of had an easy day if I didn't say yes to two little ones. looks like the two I have here are going home early. But anyway I got my Spellbinders tan embossing mats in the mail yesterday. I got them to try out my friskars embossing plates in my cuttle bug. It really does work. I found a utube video saying it worked so I just had to give it a try. I love some of the textures that friskars has but that little tool thing just doesn't work. The BUG does..

Yes I got to play today and boy did I have a good time. I made 7 cards today. Some are the same since I like to have extra on hand to mail out to my chemo buddies.

The first card is a Matchbook card. I did a bit different than the instructions. I wanted a smaller look to the bottom. I used my fancy scissors to cut the bottom to hopefully it looks like waves. The girl on the front is from a retired TAC set called summer princess. I think she looks so cute like the coppertone baby. I used double sided paper I got from Sam's club than mounted a yellow to try and help make it pop.

The second card is a shadow box card. It for a swap that I am in. Where you have to use more than one stamp. So I think I did that. I used a set from Stampin up it's called fishy friends. I used the same doubled sided paper from Sam's club. Ok cuz you get 320 sheets of doubled sided cardstock for $20. I love it. So cool you get a bunch of each style so you don't feel like you need to horde it. I stamped the images on white card stock colored them in with watercolor pencils and tombow markers added some glitter to the star fish (cuz she is the star right?) I love those shadow box cards. I thought they were hard to make. Nope..

Ok the third card I messed up on and got to thinking hey that looks like a martini olive. LOL so this is my olive card LOL ok be funny for a b-day for an adult ect.. I was trying to make a viewfinder card and didn't have a cirle coluzzle so I figure I will just use the oval. Well it of course doesn't work but I had fun trying. So Cheers.

Well it was a nice 3 day weekend. I wish every weekend was a 3 dayer. But the fun is over and it's time to get back to work. Here is a card that finished last night. I have one more to finish coloring in today. Not sure if I am going to use them as swap cards or not. I like the DS paper but it limits the stamping you can do on the cards. I want to try the new card that Dawn put up on her site. Maybe I will be able to do that today. It's a view Master Card. You should check it out.

I got it done. Yes I didn't do a lot of stamping on it since I used double sided paper. But I just got the paper at Sam's club 320 sheets for $20 and I just had to play with it.

So here is what I came up with. The stamps I used inside are from TAC. The Thank you on the front is from D.O.T.S. I got the how to's at Dawn's site her blog is listed on the side.

Blue skies are here again

Blue skies yes there are blue skies. Well my company went back home the fire danger is over for them. Hopefully there will be no more fires up there in Paradise. I think they are very tired of all the worry and smoke. I am going to sit and make a few cards tonight now that it is starting to cool down. It's almost 7pm and it's 96 out. But we are not complaining we are so happy to see blue skies. It has been over a week of smoky yucky skies.

Yesterday we went out on the boat and it was nice with the smoke since we didn' have the sun beat down on us. We still got a bit red I will peel a bit but I should tan up pretty fast. It was a nice day with family and friends.

Well it's Friday and I am the only one up and about. I just signed up for some new swaps over at my hang out Cards made by Hand. I got some ideas running through my head.

I have a few other cards to post that I made this week. I will try something new today as well. After the chores are done. I have company and they bought their 4 birds so they are taking up most of my work space. And that makes it hard. But hey they had to get leave because of the fires and I wouldn't trade with them.

I found this site that has some cool stamps. It's called Clear dollar stamps www.CDstamps.com I fell in love with Charile horse. They just added a couple more stamps to the set that I just got in the mail but haven't played with yet. Check them out.

Here is a card I made from Xmas in July swap. I tried posting this once but something strange happen it put in two pics one lg one small. So I am going to try again.

I used a new set I got for this swap I know that is bad. It's from Darcie's and it called Who need Snow. Darice's carries a line that is unmounted and on ezmount. They come in a dvd case.

I did a matching Atc just for practice.
This was the first time I really used my watercolor pencils to blend in colors.

Hope all your mommies had a great day. Over the weekend I got to buy me some new cuttlebug folders. Yeah for me. I can't find the folders in any store by me. Which is a bummer. I can't wait until the new embossing folders come out in July. They look really cool and with some of the new things I have been learning I want to play.

Yesterday I made 24 gate cards. I 12 for me and 12 for a friend. It was fast and easy with my scor-pal. Today I am going to decorte them and add some bling. I will take a pic later on.

I had a pretty quiet Mother's day. Went to lunch at Applebees. Other than that stayed home. I did cut out a bunch of letter with my cuttlebug using my sizzix dies.
